Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CalcMeter ("we," "our," "us"). By accessing or using calcmeter.com or any of our calculators, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
About the service
CalcMeter offers free, browser-based calculators and educational content across health, education, astrology, finance, and everyday math. The tools and the content around them are provided for informational and general-interest purposes only.
We may add, remove, change, or pause individual tools at any time without notice. We may also temporarily take the site offline for maintenance — we'll try to keep that brief.
Calculator disclaimers
Health and wellness tools
Tools like our BMI calculator are based on widely accepted formulas, but they are simple models and don't capture everything that matters for your health (such as muscle mass, bone density, age, ethnicity, or medical history). Nothing on CalcMeter is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any concern about your health, please speak with a qualified healthcare provider.
Education tools
CGPA, GPA, percentage, and similar education calculators follow common grading conventions, but exact rules vary by institution. Your school or university's official calculation is always the authoritative source for your transcripts.
Astrology tools
Our birth sign, moon sign, and related astrology tools are provided for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not predictions and should not be used as a basis for medical, financial, legal, or relationship decisions.
Financial tools
SIP and other financial calculators show illustrative outcomes based on the assumptions you enter. They are not financial advice, do not guarantee any return, and do not account for tax, fees, inflation, or market risk in real-world conditions. Speak to a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
Eligibility
You may use CalcMeter if you can form a legally binding contract under the law that applies to you. CalcMeter is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you are a minor, please use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful
- Reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or attempt to copy the calculators in a way that violates these Terms
- Probe, attack, or attempt to bypass the security of the site
- Disrupt the service, including via excessive automated requests
- Use the site to harass, defame, or harm others
- Misrepresent yourself as someone affiliated with CalcMeter when you are not
We may suspend or terminate access (technical or legal) for anyone who violates these rules, without notice.
Intellectual property
All content on CalcMeter — including the design, code, copy, graphics, logos, and the layout of each calculator page — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. The "CalcMeter" name and logo are our trademarks.
You may view and use the calculators for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or commercially redistribute substantial portions of the site without our written permission. Quoting short excerpts with a clear, working link back to the original page is allowed and appreciated.
User content
At the moment, CalcMeter does not accept public user submissions (comments, reviews, uploads). If we add such features in the future, these Terms will be updated to cover them. Anything you voluntarily send us (for example by email or via a feedback form) is treated as non-confidential, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that feedback to improve the service.
Third-party links
Some pages link to third-party websites or services for further reading or sources. We don't control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion.
Warranties
CalcMeter is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, or that calculator results will be perfectly accurate in every conceivable case.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CalcMeter and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site — even if we've been advised that such damages are possible.
For any direct damages we are found responsible for, our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us to use the site in the past 12 months (typically zero, since the site is free) or (b) US$50.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CalcMeter and its team from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) that arises from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will continue to apply after termination.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. If a change is material, we'll highlight it on the site for at least 30 days. Your continued use of CalcMeter after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which CalcMeter is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
